The YWCA Pierce County pioneered safe housing for domestic violence victims more than three decades ago, and is taking the bold step of expanding desperately needed shelter services. The first domestic violence shelter in Washington state, the YWCA remains the largest in Pierce County.

It's time to improve and expand!

More space will offer the women and children served greater healing and dignity. Women and children fleeing violence will be afforded the peace of their own apartment unit.
